That's Design!

Overwhelming success for the Milan event, where Serrature Meroni exhibited for the first time.

Milan as the world capital of design. Never like this year did Salone del Mobile together with the spontaneous side-events branded FuoriSalone – which literally invaded whole districts of the town — show that the Milan furniture week is the most awaited and attended event in the design world.

More than 350.000 visitors in town (210.000 foreigners), two whole districts of the town, Zona Tortona and Zona Bovisa, turned into a live exhibiting show, with crowded streets day and night 'round the clock, have swept all doubts away: everybody in Milan realized the massive impact of an event that is unrivalled in the world and is nowadays held by the experts as the international appointment of design.

On the wave of the launch of Combina — the new door knob-set designed in collaboration with POLI.design and the University of Milan — Serrature Meroni made the best of its "first time" at FuoriSalone.

Hosted in an ex-Ansaldo factory now turned into temporary exhibition pavilion — in the very heart of the well-known fashion district Zona Tortona — the Meroni's stand at That's Design! registered great success among a large number of visitors drawn by the effective layout of VisualMade and by Combina. Everybody could touch, manipulate, test the efficiency of Combina, shown in various colours and finishes on sample doors and stand alone displays, like the real "king of the day".

Massimo Margareci, Serrature Meroni CEO

"For Meroni it is an important and significant first show. Design has always been a relevant aspect in our products, especially in door knob-sets" says Massimo Margareci, CEO of Serrature Meroni S.p.A. "Nevertheless we have not always remarked with enough strength how research in ergonomic and reliability can match with aesthetic qualities. In this respect Combina starts Meroni's new way. The cooperation with POLI.Design was a winning idea; our thanks also go to the young designers who signed this project, the first model inaugurating the planned renewal of our range in the next years. That is why attending FuoriSalone was the right decision: no other event could have better represented the vitality of our company and the stamina we are putting in a better communication strategy".

The visibility offered by our stand has positively paid back. The constant presence of our personnel on the booth, particularly the project leader Mr. Aldo Perazzo, offered the most qualified assistance to the many professionals stopping by. But the whole sales team was alternatively there to welcome visitors and answer the most various questions as well. In a word, the interest for the new knob-set Combina went beyond everybody's expectations and is announcing yet another successful move by Serrature Meroni.
