Serrature Meroni made an important contribution to the security of the 2500 athletes taking part in the 20th Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006.

In both the Olympic Village and the competition venues, Serrature Meroni was at work protecting the privacy and the personal effects of the participants with locks fitted, among other things, to the lockers and mailboxes of all the athletes.

The Turin Olympic Village includes the residential blocks and the service buildings provided for the athletes and the official delegations. The village, which can house 2500 guests on an area of over 100,000 m², is situated in an area next to the Lingotto and connected by a pedestrian bridge to the Turin 2006 headquarters, the site of the international broadcasting centre and the main press centre. The complex is built around the historical structure of the Turin markets, a building dating from 1934 which has been recently restored.
